About Serengeti Wild Tours

Local people. Real planning. Tanzania done properly.

Serengeti Wild Tours is a locally owned Tanzania safari and mountain team based in Arusha. We are not a faceless booking desk. The people you meet on this page are the same kind of people behind your route advice, lodge choices, mountain pace, safari timing, airport transfers, and the small details that make a trip feel safe and personal.

A company built from real local care, not copy and paste itineraries.

My name is Rose Michael, founder of Serengeti Wild Tours. I built this company from a simple belief: when someone chooses Tanzania, they deserve more than a standard itinerary and a quick invoice. They deserve honest advice from people who live here, understand the roads, know the seasons, and care about what happens after the booking is confirmed.

Over the years, I have seen how much trust a traveler places in a local operator. You may be arriving from far away, sometimes for a once in a lifetime safari, a Kilimanjaro climb you have dreamed about for years, a honeymoon, a family holiday, or a personal adventure you want to remember forever. That trust is not small to us. It is the reason we answer carefully, plan properly, and explain the choices clearly.

We do not want guests to feel like a number. We want you to arrive as a guest, feel looked after as a friend, and leave Tanzania with people here you can still call family.

Being a local, woman led company in Tanzania means our work is personal. We know that a safari is not only about seeing animals. It is about choosing the right park at the right time, not rushing the drives, sleeping in a place that matches your comfort, and having a guide who knows when to talk, when to wait, and when to let the wilderness speak.

For Kilimanjaro, we know success is not only about reaching the summit. It starts with the right route, the right pace, honest gear checks, daily health attention, oxygen level monitoring, warm food, encouragement, and guides who notice how you are really doing even when you say "I am okay."

That is the heart of Serengeti Wild Tours: real people, real experience, and trips planned with care from the first message.

Why travelers trust us

The details we care about are the details that protect your trip.

We ask better questions before we quote.

We want to know your travel month, pace, comfort level, group size, interests, budget, and what would make the trip feel successful to you.

We tell you what fits and what does not.

If a route is rushed, a lodge is too far from the action, or a safari day is too long for children, we would rather tell you early than pretend everything is perfect.

Our safari guides know more than the road.

A good safari guide reads animal behavior, light, weather, tracks, park rules, vehicle movement, and guest energy. That is what turns a drive into a real safari.

We plan around seasons, not just famous names.

Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ndutu, and Zanzibar all feel different by month. We help you choose the right combination for your timing.

Kilimanjaro needs patience and safety.

Our mountain approach is built around steady pacing, gear checks, orientation day gear checks, daily health checks, oxygen monitoring, food, hydration, and guide attention.

Summit success starts before summit night.

The route choice, acclimatization, sleep, clothing, morale, and honest communication with your guide all matter long before the final climb begins.

You have people on the ground.

Airport transfers, hotel nights, park timing, guide assignment, lodge communication, and last minute questions are handled by a real local operations team.

We stay reachable.

Travel can change. Flights delay, bags arrive late, plans adjust, and questions come up. We keep the communication human and practical.

Our promise

What we want every guest to feel.

Honesty before booking

We would rather guide you to the right trip than push the most expensive one. Good planning starts with honest advice.

Guides who care

Your guide shapes your experience more than any brochure. We work with guides who are experienced, patient, and protective of guest comfort.

Safety on the mountain

For Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, we focus on pacing, gear checks, health attention, oxygen monitoring, and team support.

Local family feeling

We want you to feel welcomed, known, and looked after from arrival to departure , not handled like a file number.

How we work

From first message to final goodbye.

We listen first

Before recommending a safari, climb, or Zanzibar extension, we ask about your dates, comfort level, pace, interests, group size, and expectations.

We plan with the season

We match your trip to Tanzania's real conditions: wildlife movement, road distances, park timing, mountain acclimatization, and beach weather.

We stay close on the ground

Once you arrive, our operations team and guides are connected so your transfers, hotel nights, park days, climb, or safari flow properly.

Questions guests ask

Before you trust us with your trip.

Are you based in Tanzania?+

Yes. Serengeti Wild Tours is a local Tanzania team based in Arusha. This matters because your planning, guide coordination, road timing, park logistics, and on ground support are handled by people who know the destination personally.

Will I speak to a real person before booking?+

Yes. We encourage guests to ask questions before confirming. We want you to understand your route, accommodation, inclusions, transfers, payment plan, and what to expect before you arrive.

Can you help me choose between safari, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar?+

Yes. Many guests come with only a rough idea. We help you decide what fits your dates and energy level , whether that is a private safari, joining group safari, Kilimanjaro climb, Mount Meru climb, Zanzibar beach stay, or a combination.

What makes your team different?+

We are small enough to care personally and experienced enough to organize properly. Rose and Edna stay close to the planning and operations, while guides like Victor, Jackson, and Henry bring the field experience that guests rely on during the actual trip.

Ready when you are

Tell us what you are dreaming of, and we will help you shape it into the right Tanzania trip.
