Itinerary
After breakfast, your safari begins as you travel toward the Northern Serengeti, one of the most beautiful and rewarding areas ofnthe park. The north is known for open plains, river valleys, peaceful landscapes and excellent wildlife viewing, especially duringnthe Great Migration season in the northern plains.nFor the driving safari, this will be a long scenic journey through the Ngorongoro highlands and Serengeti plains, with packed lunchnand wildlife viewing along the way. For the flying option, you will take a scheduled flight from Arusha to Kogatende Airstrip, wherenyour safari guide will meet you and continue with an afternoon game drive.nDinner and overnight will be at Baobab Luxury Camp in the Northern Serengeti
Today is dedicated to exploring the Northern Serengeti with your private safari guide. The area offers excellent chances for wildlifenencounters, including predators, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and many bird species.nDuring the right season, this region is also one of the best places to follow the Great Migration movement across the northernnplains and river valleys. Your guide will plan the day according to wildlife movement and your preferred pace.nYou may leave with a packed lunch for a full day of game viewing or return to camp for a more relaxed lunch before continuing innthe afternoon.
After breakfast, leave the Northern Serengeti with a packed lunch and enjoy a scenic game-drive transfer toward CentralnSerengeti. The journey allows you to experience the changing landscapes of the park, from northern river valleys and open plainsnto the productive central Seronera region.nCentral Serengeti is one of the most reliable wildlife areas in the park. The Seronera River and surrounding plains attract a widenvariety of animals throughout the year, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and many birds.nArrive in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sametu.
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Central Serengeti before starting the journey toward the NgorongoronConservation Area. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro landscapes are not separated by fences, so wildlife can still be seen along thenroute.nDepending on the season and animal movement, your guide will choose the best possible route for game viewing as you travelnsouth through the Serengeti and into the Ngorongoro highlands.nYou will arrive in the Ngorongoro area for dinner and overnight, ready for the crater experience the following morning.
After breakfast, descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater is one of the mostnrewarding wildlife areas in East Africa and offers a strong chance of seeing a wide variety of animals in a relatively small area.nThe crater floor is home to buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, elephants, lions and, with luck, the rare black rhino. It is alsonone of the best places in Tanzania to look for the Big Five during a single game drive.nAfter lunch and the crater experience, you will ascend the crater walls and drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends.
