The drive introduces you to changing landscapes, from farming country and crater highlands to open savannah. In Central Serengeti, the Seronera area offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing thanks to its permanent water sources and rich predator activity. Enjoy a game drive en route, with chances to see lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, impalas, giraffes, and many plains animals before settling into your tented lodge or camp.

Begin the day with breakfast before exploring Central Serengeti and continuing north toward the Kogatende region. This drive is a safari experience in itself, with game viewing across plains, valleys, kopjes, and woodland patches. As you approach North Serengeti, the landscape becomes more broken and scenic, with hills, riverine areas, and productive grazing zones. Depending on timing and wildlife movement, you may spend time near the Mara River, where migration herds often gather during the dry season. Dinner and overnight will be at a comfortable tented camp in the northern Serengeti area.

This is a full day dedicated to North Serengeti, one of the best places to follow the Great Migration from July to October. Your guide will plan the route based on fresh wildlife information, herd movement, road conditions, and possible activity around the Mara River. River crossings are never guaranteed, but this area offers some of the most dramatic migration scenes in Tanzania when the timing is right. Beyond wildebeest and zebra, North Serengeti also supports lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, crocodiles, buffaloes, gazelles, topi, and resident wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and return to camp for dinner.

After breakfast, travel south from North Serengeti back toward the central region of the park. The route passes through remote valleys, open plains, woodland, and kopje country, offering more opportunities for wildlife sightings along the way. Central Serengeti is especially known for lion prides, leopards around riverine woodland, grazing herds, and strong predator-prey activity throughout the year. This day helps balance the migration focus in the north with the dependable wildlife concentration of Seronera. Arrive at your tented lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy breakfast followed by a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. After a picnic lunch, continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the crater rim. The journey offers beautiful scenery and occasional wildlife sightings as you leave the Serengeti plains behind and move into the highlands. Ngorongoro is one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wildlife areas, and spending the night near the rim places you close to the crater for an early descent the next morning. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge or camp in the Ngorongoro area.

Start early with breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive on the crater floor. This protected volcanic caldera is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, hippos, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and, with luck, black rhino. Your guide will take you through open grassland, lake edges, woodland, and wetland areas before a picnic lunch near a scenic spot such as the hippo pool. In the afternoon, ascend the crater wall and drive back to Arusha, where the safari ends with drop-off at your preferred location.
